As a value adding process enabling industry particularly in the meat and dairy sectors rotational moulding is responsible for a well known group of products including water tanks animal management products automotive pieces and crop management products. One of the strongest sectors of the market in New Zealand focuses on the leisure an d travel market including kayaks canoes boats snow sleds and promotion and signage products. The industry is repres ented by Association of Rotational Moulders Australasia who have joined with their Italian counterparts to present a range of furniture not currently manufactured in New Zealand. The aim of the festival is to inspire local manufacturers to pursue the lucrative export market that focuses on high end design and high value products. In partnership with Plastics New Zealand and the University of Auckland Plastics Centre of Excellence the Association organised a day dedicated to building partnerships between designers and manufacturers including a product exhibition and technical workshops for designers and industry |
